Create overlays

After joining the Pride With Friends team and campaign, you will want to add stream overlays to alert yourself and your users to incoming donations. It also enables you to display the progress of your campaign and total donations received already.

  1. Dashboard

    Visit your Tiltify dashboard.

  2. Campaigns

In the left sidebar, click Campaigns.

This page can also be found directly here.

  3. Your campaign

Find and click the campaign you created during Campaign setup.

  4. Branding

From this new dashboard, find Branding in the left sidebar.

  5. Overlays

    Click Overlays in the sidebar.

  6. Create

    Click Create an overlay.

A default overlay with all the basic elements is now presented. It includes a classic tracker across the top with a list of recent donations below. In the bottom left you will see a QR code that links directly to your campaign's donation page. In the bottom right, there is an animated alert box.

While this overlay may be used as-is, we strongly encourage you to customize the Alert Box to add a cute gif and a sound. This helps ensure that you don't miss incoming donations!

You will need to add this overlay as a browser source in OBS Studio.

  1. Copy url

In the top right, click the Copy overlay url button.

  2. Add browser source

In OBS Studio, find the Sources panel. Click the plus button and choose Browser. Name it something memorable, like PWF Donations.

Consider copying your Scene Collection in the top menu. Choose Duplicate... and give it a name like Pride With Friends 2026. This will make it easy to revert to your normal setup after Pride With Friends ends.

  3. Configure source

Set the URL to the overlay url you copied in step 1 above.

  4. Width & height

Ensure Width is 1920 and Height is 1080.

  5. Confirm

Click the OK button to finish.

You new overlay may be the wrong size for your stream. To fix this, right click it in the Sources panel, hover Transform and then click Fit to screen. You may also click the source to select it, then press Ctrl+f to do the same thing.

Your overlay is now ready to use! It will be working right away, so the next time you go live be vigilant for incoming donations. Don't forget to thank everyone who contributes and read any donation message to let them know you're listening.

Exercise caution when reading donation messages! Try to make sure it doesn't say anything suspicious or anti-queer before repeating it on your stream. Trolls are rare, but it's important to remain vigilant.

You may continue to explore the overlay editor and create more personalized layouts. For example, you may wish to design a separate overlay for your BRB scene or resize elements to fit better in your stream. There are dozens of overlay widgets to choose from, so get creative! You can track donation incentives, milestone achievements, donor leaderboards and more.

A useful trick is to separate each widget of the basic default overlay into separate overlays so you can control the position of each individually in OBS Studio. This is often easier to work with when aligning your alerts and goal trackers.
